March Bench Buddies

Class Description and Materials Needed

This pillow can be done in either a 5" x 7" hoop or an 8" x 8" hoop (or larger). If you'd like to learn how re-hooping can be done with the larger pillows, bring along your 5" x 7" hoop for an opportunity to learn how!

This class is also done with both embroidery and sewing. If you have access to an all-in-one machine, please bring it with you. If not, we will have sewing machines set up to share. The front of the pillow is completed in the hoop, while the accents are added on sewing machine.

You will need:

Your Embroidery Machine capable of a 5" x 7" hoop or larger
Your 5" x 7" hoop or at least an 8" x 8" hoop
Cut Away Stabilizer to fit your hoop (Bring 2 if you are doing a 5" x 7" hoop).
Your Bench Buddy Pattern Set (You have to have purchased this to participate in class) loaded onto a USB
Thread to match your fabrics (Plus black or pink for lettering)
Optional twine for kite string
Either a kit for the fabric OR the following:
- 1 White 10.5" x 10.5" for background
- 2 Green 7" x 10.5" for Back
- 7 Different Cottons cut to 1.5" x 7" for borders
- 2 Different colors cut to (2) 1.5" x 7" for borders
- 1 Blue in 3.5" x 4" for Kite
- 1 Pink in 3.5" x 4" for Kite
- 3 Different Greens for Clovers measuring 3" x 3"
- 1 Green Glitter Sheet (Polka Dot) 3" x 3" for Clover

Classroom Rules and Regulations

-All classes require a registration, whether or not they are for a charge. Walk-ins for classes are not allowed.

-Cancellations will not be refunded if within 24 hours before a scheduled class. Any class costing more than $49, 72 hours are needed. Any class equal or more than $149 is a week. Most of these larger events require us to order food and other items ahead of time. Classes that we cancel due to weather or other issues will be refunded to you no matter the timeframe. Persons registered cannot switch for another person without giving the store a call. We usually have a waiting list, so it would need to go to the list first.

-Please come with all materials needed for class. If you come unprepared, which will include materials being cut out or any other prep work, chances are you will not be able to participate in class.

-Machine rentals for classes are a first come first serve. You must call the store to reserve a machine. You may or may not get a specific model due to the style of the class or what we have available. You are still required to bring any other materials required in class with a machine rental.

Pricing is as following:

Kid’s Rental: Free

Sewing Machine: $10

Serger: $15

Embroidery Machine: $20

Luminaire or Solaris: $25

-We ask that cell phones are silenced during class. If you need to take or make a call, please step outside the classroom area. It can be very disruptive during a class.

-Lessons must be scheduled. Unfortunately, we do not have the time to sit down for a lesson for any walk in, before or after a class. Classes require both set up and break down. Lessons when scheduled will not exceed an hour’s length. Lessons are free when it comes to the workings of your machine purchased with us. If you need a garment fitting, or another specialty lesson, a fee may apply.

-Please do not show up more than 15 minutes before a scheduled class. Classes than run more than 45 minutes over may have to have a reschedule date or lessons for those not finished.

-Classes with less than 2 people may have to be canceled. If this is so, you will be refunded your fee.
