Flannel Rag Lap Quilt

If you have always wanted to make a quilt but were afraid to try, this class is for you.  This is a great class for beginners.  It’s warm, comfy, quick and easy to do.  You will need to have everything cut before class.  Finished size is 41”x 33”.

Special Notes for best results:

• Do NOT prewash your fabric
• Use Cotton Flannel Fabric
• Use Warm & Natural Batting.

Materials Needed

• Sewing Machine
• Thread to match fabric
• Bobbin
• Scissors

Fabric Needed

• 3 different colors for top of quilt   ½ yard each
• 1 ¾ yard for backing
• 1 ¾ yard batting

At home directions

• Cut your flannel fabric for the top of the quilt – 8 “ squares ( total of 10 for each color)
• Cut your backing fabric – 8” squares ( total of 30 )
• Cut your Warm & Natural batting into 7” squares

Helpful hint:  Cut your fabric into 8” strips and then cut the strip into 8 inch squares.
