Class Description

Are you a quilter and an embroiderer? Then this class is for you!

Join us for a unique project that combines the best of both worlds. In the first segment, you'll learn a strip-piecing technique using 1½" fabric strips to create finished 1" patchwork blocks. By the end of this portion of the class, you'll have a beautifully quilted panel ready for the next step.

In the second segment, we'll transform that quilted panel into a stunning patchwork appliqué design. Created exclusively for this class by Mysti, the pattern was inspired by The Big Giant Quilted Bow Pattern by LGC and shows a creative way to blend quilting and embroidery techniques.

This class is designed to give you a taste of both worlds while teaching you how to use a quilted panel as the foundation for a one-of-a-kind patchwork appliqué project.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

What you’ll need:

• 8 different fat quarters cut into 1.5-inch strips 2 of each fabric
• Sewing thread 1 color is fine make sure it coordinates with all fabrics
• Embroidery thread at least 2 colors (I used 3)
• The garment you will be embroidering this on I chose a denim cover up
• USB to take the design home with you
