Beginner's Sewing: Log Cabin Runner

Are you interested in broadening your sewing skills, or perhaps are you brand new? This is a first project in a series of beginner's sewing projects. We will be building a simple log cabin.

In this class we will be building this Table Runner.  Is is done very easily with a Jelly Roll, or you can cut your own strips.  If you need help with the cutting, feel free to show up 30 minutes early.  The first day of the class will just be building the blocks, and the second day will be an intro to free-motion quilting, and binding.  Please see the materials needed for what you need to bring.  I promise this class will be an easy intro to quilting!
Please bring the following:

-Jelly Roll or 3" X 42" strips of fabric for 7 different corresponding fabrics (one color for the middles, and 2 colors for each block)
-One 40" X 16" peice of Batting
-One 40" X 16" backing fabric
-Matching threads
-Your Machine
-1/4" Foot
-Free Motion Foot
-3 2" X 42" strips for binding, or a package of 3 Yards of double fold binding
-Scissors
