In this class we will be creating those ever popular Book Pillows right in your serger. COMPLETELY in your serger. We will be using your piping foot to add piping, and a zipper right on the back making this a perfect project for a pillow form.
What is a book pillow you may ask? It's a pillow with an adorable pocket to hold your books! You are welcome to jazz up your pocket front with embroidery before class. If you do, just embroidery the bottom half of the 16" x16" pocket square you will need. Contact the store if you need assistance.
You will need:
-4 16" x 16" cotton fabrics for the front and back of the pillow.
-1 16" x16" cotton fabric for the pocket
-1 16"x 16" piece of Pellon Shirtailor 950. Make sure to iron this onto the back of your pocket piece.
-1 20" zipper to match
-1 3" x 70" strip (you will have to piece together a few strips) for the piping
-1 piece of piping measure 3/16" in width and 70" or 3 yards in length.
-Your Serger (overlock serger is fine)
-4 Matching Serger Cones
-Your piping foot. (We have these for sale if you need)
-1 16" pillow form.
