Haven't you always wanted to learn some of your ancestor's quilting techniques?  paper piecing has been around since the 17th century, and hexie quilting made it's statement in the 19th century.  This pumpkin will be made using all of those ancient techniques, just with some nowadays tools to make it easy!
We will be working on piecing the pumpkin by hand, and then using applique and our sewing machines to complete the rest of the mug rug.  All materials will be provided.

You will need:
-Your Sewing machine
-Needles, bobbins and thread for your machine.

Pumpkin hexies, stem and leaf applique, hand sewing thread will all be provided, plus background fabric batting and binding to complete the Mug Rug.
