Mix and match a few lights and darks and you will have a delightful harvest addition to your home! Jelly rolls can work for this project or you can just do like I did and purchase a few coordinating ¼ yards of fabric and cut out strips.

Who doesn’t have a few orange scraps in their stash?!!  This cute pattern has all the charm you need for your kitchen or dining room table.  Mix and match a few lights and darks and you will have a delightful harvest addition to your home!  Jelly rolls can work for this project or you can just do like I did and purchase a few coordinating ¼ yards of fabric and cut out strips.  Using fusible web for the pumpkin, stem and leaf make this project even easier!  The finished size of the runner is 12” x 53”.  We will be making this runner in two classes so the cost will be $20.  The pattern is available for purchase here at the store or online (you can use this link) for you if you decide to sign up for the class $9.50.  Hope to see you here at Schiller’s!!

Materials and Cutting:

  •   Patchwork Pumpkin Table Runner Pattern
  •   (4) 12 ½ ” x 12 ½ ” squares of a cream tonal print fabric
  •   14 strips of various orange fabrics – at least 2 ½” x 21”
  •   Scraps of green and brown fabric for stems and leaves
  •   ½ yard brown fabric for sashing and binding
  •   18” x 58” piece of fabric for backing
  •   18” x 58” piece of batting

 

PLEASE COMPLETE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING PREPARATION BEFORE COMING TO THE CLASS!!!

  • From the brown fabric cut (1) 2 ½” WOF (width of fabric) strip.  From that strip cut crosswise into (3) 12 ½” x 2 ½” strips for the sashing.  *From the remaining brown fabric, cut (4) 2 ½” WOF strips for binding.
  • From the orange fabrics, cut (100) 2 ½” x 2 ½” squares
  • From the green scraps, cut a total of 4 leaf shapes (see template page) make a copy of that page and cut up that one to keep the original intact
  • From the brown scraps, cut a total of 4 stem shapes (see template page) again, cut up the copied page
