Beginner's Bobbin Work Embroidery

Have you ever seen a beautiful thread in a shop that you would love to add to a project, but the thread is too heavy to run through the needle of your machine? This is where bobbin work comes into the picture! All those thick decorative threads, ribbons, tapes and cords can be easily combined with your embroidery projects.

Virtually every embroidery machine can do reverse bobbin work.  some newer machines will come with a bobbin case that has been adjusted to handle these heavier threads.  In other cases, you may want to purchase a bobbin case and adjust it specifically for bobbin work, or purchase a bobbin case kit from the store. 

You will need to bring your embroidery machine, gray bobbin work case, heavier threads (madiera decobob, wonderfil dazzle or razzle, Pearl Crown Rayon) and if you'd like to bring something fancy to put it on, like a pillow, tote bag, please bring that as well.  We will have fabric available to do our test embroideries, and give you a choice of designs from Anita Goodesign.  Please bring a USB so you can take the whole design set home with you.
