Have you ever wished that you had a nice, functional carrier for your dish when you brought a favorite dessert or entrée to your family gathering or potluck dinner? This sturdy carrier holds either an 8 X 8 dish or a 13 X 9 dish and looks stylish as well. You can choose two fabrics that are fun and whimsical or just pick out some two sided, pre-quilted fabric if you wish. A purchased, long handled wooden spoon serves as the handle, and you are ready to head out to the party! This really is a quick-to-sew project that will inspire you to make a few more for the cooks in your family. Choose fabrics that match their kitchen motif and maybe even personalize the carrier with their name embroidered on the top! Hope you can join us!!

**Make sure you use 100% cotton fabrics and thread for this project**

  • 1 yard of two sided, pre-quilted fabric or 1 yard each of two fabrics to be quilted.  These can be the same fabrics or two that coordinate. One is the inside and one is the outside.
  • 1 yard of cotton batting or insul-bright
  • 2/3 yard of contrasting fabric for binding and handles.
  • Cotton thread to match
  • Sewing machine in good working order
  • New size 14 sewing machine needle
  • Walking foot for your machine
