This is another, but very different style of “Block of the Month” Quilt.We have chosen the LunchBox Quilts Merry Christmas Quilt to be our 2010 – 2011 Embroidered Quilt Block of the Month project. All the blocks in this quilt are created using your embroidery. This class will be getting together on the second Thursday evening of every month. Come join us as we create this wonderful quilt, piece by piece, month by month. If you have never created a quilt using your embroidery machine before, don’t worry, you will have help with every step and by the end of the year you will have a wonderful quilt to decorate your home. Don't worry if you miss a month (or more) you can always catch back up.
For the first class you will need:
Purchase the LunchBox Quilt CD
Assorted scraps of shiny fabric. Try checking in with the Prom fabrics in places like JoAnn fabrics. Look for fabrics like "Confetti Dot".
Assorted scraps of gold, white and silver fabric for lightbulb top
Embroidery thread to match your lightbulb fabric
Light-weight tear-away stabilizer
Small sharp scissors
Medium (4 x 4 or 5 x 7) embroidery hoop
Lightbulb design loaded into your embroidery machine
