This easy-to-sew tote bag makes a day of shopping even more fun.  Change your fabrics to reflect a seasonal look or just pick colors that make you feel good!  The main part of the bag consists of 24, five inch squares of fabric.  The front and back of the bag is quilted and the bag is also lined.  If you want to make this bag even faster, just purchase a pack of charm squares (pre-cut, color coordinated 5” squares) at your local quilt shop and all of the tedious cutting is done for you!    I have the pattern for you, so no need to purchase anything but your fabric and supplies.  Come in and join us!

Good quality quilting cottons are recommended

  • 24 Five inch squares of assorted fabric
  • ¼ yard of fabric for the sides and bottom
  • ¼ yard of fabric for the handles
  • 2/3 yard of fabric for the lining
  • 2/3 yard of muslin
  • ¾ yard low to mid loft batting
  • Thread to match fabric
  • Sewing machine in good working order
  • ¼” foot, free motion foot
  • Regular sewing accessories

Finished size of bag is approx. 17 ½” X 13 ½” X 4”
