Summer is almost here. Yeah! It’s time to pull out your serger again. We will be making this useful roll-up beach carrier. This carrier will hold your accessories and wraps around your beach towel. The five pockets, close with Velcro, keeping the contents dry and sand-free. Use masculine fabric for the guys. They don’t like to be seen with a beach “tote”. Let’s Head for the Beach!!
- 1/3 yd. of 45” wide Gor-Tex, nylon pack cloth, ripstop, or any tightly woven, water-repellent fabric. ( I purchased 2/3 yard of 53” outdoor fabric from Joann’s. I did not want to see the back of the fabric so I doubled the fabric to line the wrap.
- 2/3 yd of lightweight clear 45” vinyl. I purchased mine at Joann’s. They have different thicknesses of vinyl. I purchased the one with the turquoise color paper background.
- 32” of ¾” wide Velcro.
- Serger in good working order. Please insert a brand new needle size 12.
- Three spools of serger thread to coordinate with your fabric.
- 1 bobbin filled with coordinating thread.
- 1-2/3 yard of 1” wide cotton or nylon webbing for straps.
